In the heart of Louvain-la-Neuve, we encountered a spacious apartment with a major issue – inadequate lighting and a severe lack of storage.

Our client, who has cherished this apartment since her student days, expressed a strong desire to update the decor and breathe new life into her beloved space. Her wish was to embark on a redecoration journey while preserving as much of her existing furniture as possible. As we delved deeper into the project, we recognized that the entrance, living room, dining room, and kitchen were the key spaces requiring our expert touch and transformation.

To fulfill our client’s vision of a clean and modern Bohemian decor *, let’s explore the essence ofBohemian style decoration.

* The Bohemian style, often referred to as Boho, is an eclectic and artistic design approach that embraces individuality, rich colors, and an assortment of textures and patterns. It exudes a carefree and relaxed ambiance, emphasizing natural materials and a sense of worldly adventure.

Despite the client’s desire to retain certain furniture pieces, we recognized the importance of optimizing the apartment’s ergonomics. A square table was occupying excessive space in the dining area, so we made a strategic decision to replace it with a simple folding rectangular table that could comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. This change not only enhanced functionality but also allowed us to introduce a stylish sideboard to elevate storage capabilities.

In the living room, we replaced the second sofa with two comfortable armchairs, striking a balance between coziness and visual openness. Additionally, we focused on the kitchen’s practicality by incorporating an additional high cabinet and small shelves, ensuring that our client would have ample storage space while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic.

Throughout the process, we respected the existing electrical arrangements, making only minimal changes to the lighting fixtures to complement the new decor and atmosphere.
